1.Clip the paper

Align the printed and cut papers and secure them with clips.
2.Make a hole with a needle

With the sharpest possible needle (perforation, awl), make a hole for sewing with thread. The positions of the holes are printed in advance this time. If you have a lot of paper, divide it into several sheets and make holes to clean it. If the number of sheets is large, the holes in the front paper will inevitably become large.
3.Check all the paper for holes.

Make sure there is a hole down to the paper below.
4.Sew the paper together with the needle and thread

Cut the thread to an appropriate length and sew with a needle. You can try changing the color of the thread to suit your work, but this time I used orthodox white thread so as not to disturb the work.

I will sew in waves. Go to the other side and go back.

After sewn together the text sheets, cut unnecessary parts to make the sizes uniform.
5.Paste the cheesecloth which has a role as a cushioning material.

cheesecloth

It is a very thin material, but as you can see by touching it, it is surprisingly solid.

Cut to fit book size.

Stick glue, cheesecloth, text paper.

6.Make a cover.

まず用意するのはボール紙。

ここでは、表、裏、背表紙と三種類のパーツが必要です。

Cut thick paper according to the measured line.

Cut out the three parts in this way.
7.Complete with hard cover

Photo left/paper bag for packaging right/hardcover for hand binding. The paper is made of TAKEO PAPER tabulo . It is a unique paper with a rough texture and a texture like newspaper. It's a little difficult to bind because it's thin, but I used it because the texture of the hard cover had a mortar-like atmosphere and compatibility with monochrome works was very good.
